Der <a href=\"http:\/\/kieranhealy.org\/resources\/emacs-starter-kit\/\" target=\"_blank\">Emacs Starter Kit for the Social Sciences<\/a> &#8222;<em>is a drop-in set of nice default settings.<\/em>&#8220; Der &#8218;Entwickler&#8216; Kieran Healy, Associate Professor f\u00fcr Soziologie an der Duke University, hat darin wichtige Einstellungen und Tools f\u00fcr Sozialwissenschaftler geb\u00fcndelt, mit denen man wesentliche Funktionen aus der sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschung wahrnehmen kann, ohne sich gro\u00df mit den Details jeder einzelnen Anwendung besch\u00e4ftigen zu m\u00fcssen. Wir konnten das Starter Kit leider nicht testen (kein Mac) und haben uns auch nicht die M\u00fche gemacht zu eruieren, ob eine Umsetzung auch f\u00fcr Linux oder Windows m\u00f6glich w\u00e4re. Falls jemand von euch den Emacs Starter Kit im Einsatz hat, freuen wir uns \u00fcber ein kurzes Feedback zu Anwenderfreundlichkeit und Funktionalit\u00e4t. In <a href=\"http:\/\/kieranhealy.org\/files\/misc\/workflow-apps.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Choosing Your Workflow Applications<\/a> beschreibt Kieran auch u.a. den Einsatz des Starter Kits.
