Bereits am 04. Mai erhielten wir eine Mail von Han Sloetjes, dem Entwickler von ELAN<\/a> am Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. Darin gab er den ersten Release von ELAN simple<\/strong> bekannt, einer abgespeckten Version von ELAN. Verf\u00fcgbar f\u00fcr Mac, Windows und Linux. Aber lest selbst in English:<\/p>\n

“Simple-ELAN has a limited set of functions. It’s goal is to support easy transcription of audio and video recordings, in principle on a single layer (tier). It can be used for relatively coarse grained scene-level transcription, for per speaker speech transcription or for aligning existing transcripts to their digitized audio\/video source.<\/em><\/p>\n

The main characteristic is that of simultaneous segmentation and transcription; pressing the Enter key creates a new segment based on the current media time and at the same time applies the current text of the editor to the newly created annotation.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wem der Funktionsumfang von ELAN immer etwas zu weit ging und die vielen Kn\u00f6pfe viel zu sehr ablenkten, der m\u00f6ge doch die einfache Version ausprobieren.<\/p>\n
